NAPSLO's Next Generation

NAPSLO's Next Generation is a dynamic group of insurance professionals under the age of 40 and currently employed by NAPSLO member firms.  NAPSLO's Next Generation was formed to attract new college graduates and young professionals to the surplus lines insurance industry, to encourage the exchange of educational and industry critical information amongst members, to promote professionalism amongst members, and to be an avenue for young insurance professionals to become more involved in the surplus lines community.

  • There are no upcoming events at this time.
Additionally, NAPSLO’s Next Generation members are also encouraged to network amongst themselves informally.  Local happy hours are being organized by individual members throughout the country.  Members interested in arranging a happy hour or other event in their area should contact Membership Chair John Farrey, jfarrey@burnsandfarrey.com or Events Committee Co-Chairs David Dow (david.dow@amwins.com) and Melissa Mears (melissa.mears@zurichna.com).

Volunteering for Committee Membership

The work of NAPSLO’s Next Generation is accomplished through six committees and is undertaken in coordination with NAPSLO Standing Committees.

Next Generation is always looking for committed individuals to help in its work of assisting NAPSLO in meeting its goals.  Those interested in volunteering on a committee should e-mail John Farrey, jfarrey@burnsandfarrey.com with their preferred committee, a brief explanation of what they can offer to that committee’s work and a recent resume.

A large part of Next Generation's work involves partnering with the NAPSLO Career Awareness & Internship Committee to reach college students.  If you would like to be part of that outreach, please e-mail Justin Mohn, Justin@napslo.org, with your full name, firm, contact info, alma mater and nearby schools you would be able to visit.
